You can’t avoid what’s coming… You have to be prepared!
One Sunday as we were driving home from Church we were coming up to a curve in the road and I heard these words… “Move over”…
I immediately checked my rear view mirror and moved over to the other lane. Just as I finished that move a Taxi came speeding around the curve in the wrong lane! It was traveling in the lane I just moved over from!
It hit the car that was behind me head on!
If I had not listened to that voice that said “Move over” we might not be here with you today!!!
Listening to The Holy Spirit is not an option for a Christian!!!
It can be life or death!!!
Let’s dig into Proverbs 8:12-23
I wisdom dwell with good judgment, and find out knowledge of discretion. 13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: therefore I hate pride, and arrogance, corruption and all crookedness. 14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. 15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. 16 By me princes rule, and nobles and all the judges of the earth. 17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me; yea, enduring wealth and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, better than fine gold; and my revenue than pure silver. 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice: 21 I cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. 22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth existed.
We need to Listen to The Holy Spirit Today:
There are short term disaster situations that can happen that we need to be prepared for…
We need to be prepared for thing like as:Losing Electrical Power from Hurricanes, Snow or Ice Storms
Heavy Rains causing Flooding
If you’re living in the western US: Forest Fire problems
Some need to be prepared for Earthquakes…
Michael Orlowski just told me about an 8.2 earthquake that hit Alaska where his daughter lives… I also just saw in the news that it caused a small Tsunami…
All of these situations are not just possibilities… They are probabilities…
Those who are prepared will “weather the storms” well. Those who are not prepared will have increased problems…
Here is another area that is a serious one… Should I get the Covid Vaccine or not?
There is so much controversy over this that you must hear from The Lord for yourself.
And there are things affecting our futures…
What about the Globalists taking over everything and pushing their “New World Order” agenda?
What about the approaching Economic Crisis? Many Economists are predicting very high inflation and an eventual devaluation of the Dollar and a possible 2nd Great Depression!
If you stick your head into the sand like the Ostrich you will be taken by surprise and face the consequences.
If you fail to plan on how to weather these storms, then you are planning to fail!
Inaction is the wrong action!
We must get our Spiritual Hearing fine tuned to The Holy Spirit!
Let’s read a few more verses from Proverbs chapter 8
Proverbs 8: 34-36
Blessed is the man that listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorpost. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. 36 But those that miss me hurt their own souls…
Let me illustrate this with an example… Have you ever been waiting for a friend only to get distracted while you were waiting? Those few moments of distraction may make you miss your friend! You won’t see them because you’re looking in the wrong direction!
The Holy Spirit is telling us we need to “watch daily at His gates” and “wait at the doorpost”…
No distractions allowed here!
So, we need to make some adjustments to our daily lives…
We have to give The Holy Spirit the time He needs to lead us and guide us!
And, how about learning what His Voice sounds like???
Like I said, if I had not heard that still, small voice say “Move over” we might not be here today!
So, we have to make some adjustments in our daily lives we may begin to face serious problems.
We have to learn to discern…
Let me say that again…
We have to learn to discern…
Revelation 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Let’s bring that a little closer to home because we are the Church!!!
Isaiah 50:4-5
The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.
Now listen to this…
He awakens me morning by morning. He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.
5 The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient and I did not disobey!
We need to learn to hear like a Disciple!
We need our ears opened!
Really…
Some will have to make minor adjustments… you’re already listening for the Holy Spirit’s direction in what you do…
Some will have to make major adjustments… Being “led by The Spirit” isn’t on your spiritual radar at all!
Remember what He said in verse 17?
“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
The Lord loves it when we seek Him early…
That’s not just “early in the morning”… it can be and that’s fine…
But, what He is saying goes deeper…
He loves it when we go to Him first!!!
He loves it when we seek Him “early in the situation”!!!
Now, if you’re going through life without seeking God’s Direction because things are going alright or because you’re a fatalist… You probably live by this:
“Que sera, sera”…
“Whatever is going to happen will happen”…
No, The Lord has Plans for your life and Satan does too!!!
We need to hear from The Holy Spirit to know the plans He has for us!!!
Then, when we know how He is leading us we can see through Satan’s plans and avoid trouble!
“Move over”!!!
Some of you are probably like the Ostrich…
You’re taking God’s Plans for your lives too lightly…
You can’t keep your head in the sand and hear from The Holy Spirit!!!
We cannot continue to be spiritually deaf to what The Holy Spirit is saying…
So, we all need to repent… Every one of us…
Whether it’s a lot or just a little… we need to humble ourselves and admit that we are not where we could be spiritually…
Let’s make The Our Father more than a prayer we say by memory…
Let’s make it a reality in our Daily Life…
Let’s pray it together right now…
